FAQ

What is the Time Committment?

The time commitment is whatever you put into it. UCFMUN allows flexibility of all schedules to ensure no one is stressed or over-encumbered by MUN. If you don't want to dedicate all your time to Model United Nations, then that is perfectly fine. Attendance is not a requirement when it comes to membership and as long as you are a dues-paying member, you are allowed to go to conference, vote, and run for officer positions.

If space is limited before these conferences, tryouts are held to determine who can go. Applications for these tryouts are posted on our Discord and are available to everyone. The only requirements for traveling are being a dues-paying member and paying for the cost of your conference registration. The club handles all the finances regarding hotel and travel; all we ask is that you pay for your registration for the conference.

How can I travel?

Do I have to be a political science major to join?

No! The club is open to all majors at UCF. The only thing you need to be to join UCFMUN is a UCF Student. We have different majors within the club, such as political science, biology, engineering, and English. Both STEM and non-STEM majors are welcome to join at any time.
